Golfer David McDonald, aged 85 and a resident of Fall River, N.S., recently achieved a remarkable feat by shooting an even-par 72 at the challenging Ashburn Golf Club’s new course. Known for its long layout and large, speedy greens, the course presented a tough challenge for McDonald.

Expressing his excitement over the accomplishment, McDonald mentioned that shooting a 72 had not been a frequent occurrence for him in recent times, making the achievement even more special. Despite playing from the silver tees, which are nearly 5,800 yards long, McDonald managed to surpass the expectations by finishing 13 strokes under his age, a notable milestone in golf.
