Amir Khan, a former professional boxer, has revealed his feelings about his portrayal as the “villain” during his stint on the reality TV show, I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here. Khan discussed a notable incident from the 2017 season where he and fellow contestant Iain Lee were seen indulging in strawberries and cream without sharing with the rest of the camp.

Reflecting on the incident, Khan expressed that he had no intention of causing any drama by consuming the treat and claimed he was unaware of the impact it would have on viewers. In an interview with the Daily Star, Khan admitted that he underestimated the popularity and reach of the show, having never watched it before his own participation.

He lamented the editing of the scene, which he believed portrayed him in a negative light, though he attributed his actions to being playful and mischievous rather than intentionally upsetting others. Despite acknowledging the controversy surrounding the incident, Khan hinted that he would likely make the same choice again but with a more direct approach if faced with a similar situation.

Looking ahead to the upcoming season of I’m A Celeb: All Stars, Khan shared insights on the challenges of returning to the show. He emphasized the initial shock and intensity of the experience, particularly dealing with the unpredictable elements of the jungle environment. Khan noted that the second time around would be easier as contestants would be better prepared for what to expect.

Drawing from his own growth and bravery during his first appearance, Khan predicted a successful return for fellow boxer David Haye, highlighting the transformative nature of the show’s challenges. Khan encouraged Haye to embrace the adventure, assuring that prior knowledge would lead to a more confident and successful performance in the upcoming series.
