Billionaire Bryan Johnson, a tech mogul, recently shared his experience of experimenting with magic mushrooms in a quest to defy aging. Johnson, aged 48, consumed a significant dosage of the psychedelic substance as part of his research into potential longevity benefits.
In his pursuit to halt the aging process, Johnson invests £1.6 million annually and follows a strict routine monitored by 30 medical professionals. He claims that this regimen has rejuvenated his skin, lungs, and vitality, comparing them to those of a younger individual.
During his mushroom experiment, Johnson broadened his exploration by analyzing 240 biomarkers to evaluate the impact of magic mushrooms on extending lifespan. His Blueprint co-founder, Kate Tolo, took over his social media accounts while he was under the influence of the drug, providing updates on the effects of the experiment.
Tolo documented Johnson’s journey, noting time distortion and visual hallucinations. She also mentioned collecting his saliva sample for various measurements, including brain scans and blood pressure assessments. Despite the intense experience, Johnson expressed gratitude for being alive and hinted at a profound shift in his perspective on mortality.
In subsequent posts, Johnson expressed a sense of interconnectedness with his audience and reflected on the transformative nature of his psychedelic journey. Known for his unconventional anti-aging methods, such as infusing himself with his son’s blood, Johnson has yet to fully disclose the outcomes of his magic mushroom experiment.
