Anthony Joshua is fully committed to his upcoming bout against Jake Paul, having made the trip to Miami early to acclimate to the time zone.

The former two-time unified heavyweight champion has been out of action since suffering a devastating knockout loss to Daniel Dubois in September 2024 at Wembley Stadium. Joshua’s 2025 season was hampered by injuries, but following successful elbow surgery, he is now back in rigorous training, preparing for his comeback.

The announcement of Joshua facing Paul took many by surprise. The showdown is set for December 19 in Miami, Florida, where the two will go head-to-head in an eight-round bout wearing 10oz gloves.

Despite being the heavy favorite, Joshua is leaving nothing to chance in his preparations. Promoter Eddie Hearn confirmed Joshua’s sharp condition in Miami, emphasizing the seriousness with which Joshua is approaching this fight.

The highly-anticipated clash between Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul is scheduled for December 19 in Miami, with the fight being broadcast live on Netflix. Fans can catch the action for free with Sky’s £15 Essential TV bundle, the lowest price offered by Sky TV.

Hearn disclosed that Joshua must not exceed 245lb for the fight, a requirement that doesn’t seem to pose a significant challenge given Joshua’s current condition and commitment to meet the agreed weight limit.

During negotiations, Hearn admitted to some strategic misinformation regarding Joshua’s weight, highlighting the meticulous planning that went into making this fight happen.

The fight between Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul in Miami on December 19, just days before Christmas, is expected to draw significant attention. The bout is set to air live on Netflix, with the timing aimed at maximizing viewership, especially for the American audience.
