With Christmas fast approaching, a notable change in the iconic Cadbury Heroes selection has left some enthusiasts less than cheery. Miniature Heroes have long been a staple for cozy gatherings, whether by a warm fireplace or during a classic holiday movie marathon.

Each person has their own preferred treat, ensuring a peaceful sharing experience during the festive season. While some swear by the indulgent Dairy Milk Caramel, others crave the satisfying crunch of the Crunchie. The chewy Cadbury’s Eclair has also been a popular choice for those savoring their sweets slowly.

However, the recent replacement of the beloved Eclair with the Flake has stirred controversy nationwide. Critics argue that the Flake’s texture is too similar to the existing Twirl in the assortment. Social media platforms have been buzzing with disappointed fans lamenting the decision to swap out the Eclair for the Flake.

Despite the backlash, there are supporters of the change who view the Eclair as a challenging sweet to enjoy and welcome the introduction of the Flake. This alteration coincides with Cadbury’s initiative to test new paper tubs in select Tesco stores, aiming to reduce plastic waste. The paper tubs featuring Flakes instead of Eclairs will be available for a limited time starting late October.

Cadbury’s brand manager, Christina Bland, expressed excitement about the trial of the paper tubs, emphasizing the company’s commitment to exploring sustainable packaging solutions. This trial period will help shape Cadbury’s future packaging strategies, and the addition of Cadbury Flake aims to offer consumers a fresh favorite to enjoy.
