Craig Revel Horwood, a judge on Strictly Come Dancing, has taken on a new role focusing on the idiosyncrasies of British home habits. A recent study revealed that four out of five Brits admit to being particular about their living spaces, from the way they fold towels to preferences on lighting and furniture arrangement.

The survey, conducted with 2,000 adults, highlighted that 80% of respondents pay attention to details like cleanliness, ornament placement, decor choices, and personal touches in their homes.

Specific behaviors such as not allowing feet on sofas, organizing cutlery in designated spots, and always making the bed before leaving the house were cited as top priorities by many participants.

Sofology, an interior brand, commissioned the research and appointed Craig Revel Horwood as their ‘Head of Fusstomer Experience’.

In his new role, Craig expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “I am thoroughly enjoying my position as the head of fusstomer experience. It’s a fantastic opportunity, and I feel incredibly important in this role. Known for my high standards and outspoken nature, I demand nothing less than fabulous.”

The study also found that 82% of individuals believe there’s nothing wrong with being particular about home aesthetics, with 60% expressing a commitment to their unique home habits.

Partners were identified as the main rule-breakers in households, causing frustration and dissatisfaction among homeowners. Despite this, 25% of respondents choose to remain silent when their rules are disregarded.

Interestingly, the survey revealed that individuals spend an average of 44 minutes preparing their homes for guests, emphasizing the importance placed on presenting a well-maintained living space.

A spokesperson for Sofology emphasized their dedication to meeting the needs of even the most meticulous customers, stating, “We value the art of selection and embrace our fusstomers. Our attention to detail matches the standards of the most discerning individuals, as everyone deserves a home that mirrors their unique style.”
