Prince Andrew is set to relocate to a residence within the Sandringham estate, valued at £60 million, after departing from the Royal Lodge, as per reports. Buckingham Palace has confirmed that King Charles has initiated proceedings to remove all formal titles from the 65-year-old, resulting in his new name as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.

The Palace stated that Prince Andrew will give up his lease on the Royal Lodge and transition to an alternative private accommodation within the Sandringham estate in Norfolk. This accommodation will be financed through the King’s personal funds, as reported by the BBC.

A formal announcement from the Palace indicated that the process to strip Prince Andrew of his Style, Titles, and Honours has commenced. Consequently, he will now be recognized as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. Despite denying the allegations against him, he is required to vacate the Royal Lodge and relocate to a different private residence.

Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice are anticipated to maintain their titles under King George V’s Letters Patent of 1917 as daughters of a Sovereign’s son. Prince Andrew secured a 75-year lease on the Royal Lodge in 2003, a property formerly inhabited by the Queen Mother. The estate encompasses 90 acres, including various amenities like a swimming pool, an aviary, and several cottages.

Sandringham, incorporated into the royal estate in the 1860s, spans 20,000 acres and houses Sandringham House, a favored Christmas retreat for the monarch, with numerous rooms. Following the removal of his titles, Prince Andrew is encouraged to join the Mirror’s Royal WhatsApp community for the latest updates on the royal family.
