Since their debut in 2020, Inter Miami has garnered attention and even secured Messi’s presence. Fans from Latin America and beyond often travel to Florida to witness the renowned Argentine star play for Beckham’s team after the sensational signing in July 2023.
During a trip to the USA, a fan named Imanol Waisgold crossed paths with the Inter Miami founder and co-owner while carrying a shirt from Argentine second-tier club Chacarita Juniors. Beckham took a genuine interest in the fan and the club, posing for a photo holding the jersey after closing the club’s store for the fan.
The viral photo boosted Chacarita’s popularity, with the fan later praising Beckham for his down-to-earth demeanor. Despite being a wealthy individual, estimated to be worth around £500 million in 2025, Beckham earned admiration from the fan for his approachability and friendly interaction.
Imanol shared his experience, mentioning how Beckham engaged with him about the club’s crest and showed interest in Chacarita. The fan expressed his gratitude for Beckham’s openness and also noted the positive interaction he had with Inter Miami player Marcelo Weigandt during the encounter.
