Canada’s Trade Minister, Dominic LeBlanc, engaged in another round of talks on Sunday with U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer. This virtual meeting marked their third discussion in less than a week, lasting approximately an hour.
Ottawa’s recent focus has been on securing a “comprehensive agreement” with the U.S. The Canadian government aims to persuade the Trump administration to rescind the upcoming 50 per cent tariffs impacting nearly $28 billion worth of Canadian goods, constituting about five per cent of Canada’s exports to the U.S.
