Acting legend Brigitte Bardot has returned home after a recent hospitalization due to a serious illness. The 91-year-old actress underwent surgery after being admitted to a private hospital in Toulon, France earlier this month. Bardot, known for her iconic status during the sexual revolution of the late 1950s to early 1970s, has been discharged and is now recuperating at her residence in Saint-Tropez, southern France.

Expressing gratitude towards the medical staff and surgical team at the Saint-Jean Private Hospital in Toulon, a representative for Bardot informed the French news agency AFP about her current condition. Fans, who had expressed concerns about her health on social media, are likely to be reassured by the news of her recovery.

According to a spokesperson for the French actress, Bardot is now resting at home and is in good health. Reports from French media had earlier indicated that she was hospitalized for a severe illness and had undergone surgical intervention, though official confirmation from her representatives is still pending.

Her husband, Bernard d’Ormale, recounted the incident when emergency services were initially dispatched to the wrong address due to confusion. Bardot experienced breathing difficulties, but with the prompt medical assistance, she received oxygen support and is now under observation at her residence.

Born in Paris in 1934, Bardot rose to fame at the age of 15 and became a global sensation through her performances in films such as “And God Created Woman.” Despite taking a step back from public life in recent years, Bardot has left a lasting impact on the entertainment industry, starring in numerous films, releasing music albums, and advocating for animal welfare through her foundation.

Having faced health challenges in the past, Bardot’s resilience and recovery from this recent health scare following surgery point to her enduring spirit and determination. Her contributions to cinema and humanitarian causes continue to be celebrated by fans worldwide.
