Fourth-ranked Canadian tennis player Felix Auger-Aliassime is set to lead the Canadian team in the upcoming second round of Davis Cup qualifiers to be held in Quebec City next month. Tennis Canada has announced that Auger-Aliassime will be joined by Gabriel Diallo from Montreal, Liam Draxl from Newmarket, Ontario, and Duncan Chan from Markham, Ontario.
Canada, currently ranked 12th in the tournament, will face off against sixth-ranked France in a crucial best-of-five tie at the Videotron Centre. The victor of this matchup will secure a spot in the 2026 Davis Cup Finals scheduled for November.
In the previous round of qualifiers back in February, Canada narrowly defeated Brazil with a 3-2 scoreline. On the other hand, France earned their spot in the second round by overcoming Slovakia with a 3-1 victory.
