Cat Deeley, the popular host of This Morning, responded sharply when asked about the potential of co-hosting with her former spouse, Patrick Kielty. The couple, who recently ended their 13-year marriage, have typically kept their relationship private.

During an appearance on the Live with Kelly and Mark Show last year, Cat, who is celebrating her 49th birthday today, offered rare insights into her connection with the County Down-born Patrick. Before their separation, the This Morning presenter told hosts Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos that she was not interested in sharing the ITV show with Patrick, despite his background as a stand-up comedian and host.

When Kelly suggested it could be a pleasant experience, Cat raised concerns about potential conflicts arising from disagreements at home. Cat and Patrick first crossed paths while co-presenting the BBC talent show Fame Academy in 2002. Their friendship blossomed into romance in 2011 when Patrick flew to Los Angeles to attend Cat’s birthday brunch. They later tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony in Rome and welcomed two sons, Milo in 2016 and James two-and-a-half years later.

After announcing their split earlier this year, the couple emphasized their commitment to co-parenting and requested privacy. Cat, known for her TV presence in shows like Who Wants to Be a Millionaire and The One Show, has maintained a significant media presence for over two decades.
