Donald Trump has sparked fresh concerns about his health following observations of him walking with a noticeable limp while enjoying time with his grandson. The US president, accompanied by his nine-year-old grandson Theodore Kushner, engaged in a leisurely activity at the White House Presidential Walk of Fame over the weekend, tossing around an NFL football. However, many viewers noted that the 79-year-old seemed to struggle with maintaining a straight gait, with some even suggesting he appeared unsteady on his feet, dragging one leg as he moved.

Social media users took to X (formerly Twitter) to comment on Trump’s walk, with one jokingly mentioning that his gait would warrant a breathalyzer test under different circumstances, while others made light-hearted remarks about his walking style. Referring to him as “Limpy Don,” some expressed concerns about his health, particularly focusing on the noticeable dragging of his left leg in the video footage.

These observations come on the heels of a clinical psychologist, Dr. John Gartner, expressing worries about the president’s walking pattern, specifically highlighting a concerning “leg swing” in his right leg. Dr. Gartner suggested that such a decline in coordination could be indicative of dementia, particularly Frontotemporal dementia. He emphasized that deteriorating motor skills, in addition to linguistic abilities, are common signs of dementia progression, with experts pinpointing Trump’s right leg swing as a red flag for this specific type of dementia.

Despite these concerns raised by experts and social media users, Trump has dismissed any worries about his health, referencing a recent White House physical examination that attested to his excellent cognitive and physical well-being. Previously, the White House had disclosed that Trump had been diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency, a condition impacting blood flow in the veins, following speculation about bruises on his hand.
