Freeview users are advised to check their settings and retune their devices promptly following the announcement of an update by the UK TV platform. The update includes changes to the channel lineup and TV guide. Freeview has stated that certain broadcasters are implementing adjustments, necessitating a retune to ensure channels and the TV guide remain current.
Among the changes introduced are four rebrands. That’s TV 3 on Channel 71 is now known as That’s 20th Century, featuring music from past decades and iconic shows like Yes, Minister, In Sickness and in Health, and The Saint. Additionally, That’s TV 3 MCR on Channel 86 has been renamed That’s 20th Century MCR, while That’s Classics MCR on Channel 93 is now simply That’s Classics.
Moreover, a new channel called That’s Entertainment will be launched on Channel 75. Although program listings for this new service are not widely available yet, more information is expected soon. Freeview emphasizes that these updates are part of the continuous changes made by broadcasters to diversify and keep content current.
For Freeview users, the changes should reflect on the TV planner. If not, a retune may be necessary by following these steps:
1. Press the menu button on the remote.
2. Navigate to settings, installation, or a similar option.
3. Enter the PIN if prompted (usually 1234 or 0000).
4. Select “first-time installation,” “factory reset,” or “full retune.”
5. Confirm deletion of existing channels.
6. Allow the device to automatically search for and save the updated channels.
Although Freeview updates occur regularly, this recent update is significant, making it advisable to retune sooner rather than later.
