Hamas militants have reportedly carried out brutal attacks on around 500 Palestinians in Gaza, according to human rights lawyer Moumen Al-Natour. Al-Natour described the disturbing incidents in a conversation with the Mirror via WhatsApp, detailing how the gunmen have been targeting individuals perceived as opposing them, resulting in deaths and numerous leg injuries.
Al-Natour also highlighted the creation of a website named “Grab a Collaborator” by the militants to intimidate those suspected of collaboration with Israelis. He mentioned that these attacks, including killings, are occurring predominantly within hospital premises, with an estimated death toll of 150 individuals.
The lawyer, who is an anti-Hamas activist living clandestinely due to threats from the group, emphasized the gravity of the situation. He recounted how Hamas operatives have been carrying out violent acts in regions vacated by Israel as part of a peace agreement, using hospitals as sites for their atrocities.
Al-Natour further disclosed disturbing details about the victims, including women, children, and even a five-year-old and a pre-teen, who were targeted due to their family connections. He expressed concerns over Hamas’ tactics of targeting vulnerable groups and emphasized the need for intervention to prevent further harm.
Despite being a target himself, Al-Natour managed to evade capture, but shared the impact of the situation on his personal life, including the dissolution of his engagement. He has been actively protesting against Hamas even before the conflict escalated, advocating for peace and stability in the region.
Al-Natour urged for decisive actions to be taken to address the escalating violence, stressing the necessity for securing the controlled areas in Gaza and implementing measures to enhance the well-being of the populace. He expressed determination to contribute to rebuilding the community and ensuring essential services in the areas under Israeli control.
