Clavicular, a popular influencer and streamer known as Braden Peters, is facing serious charges including rape, drugging someone for sexual purposes, and providing alcohol to a minor, as revealed in online court documents accessed by CBC News. The 20-year-old was officially charged on September 8 in a Cape Cod, Massachusetts courthouse, with the alleged incidents taking place on May 23, 2025.
An arraignment is scheduled for October 14, and Peters is currently not in custody. The identity of the alleged victim has not been disclosed in the legal filings. If found guilty, Peters could potentially receive a maximum prison sentence of 20 years for the rape accusation.
In response to the allegations initially reported by The Bulwark, Peters’s representative issued a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, stating that Peters has not been served physically and accused The Bulwark of sensationalizing the case for traffic. Peters took to social media following the news and identified the plaintiff as fellow influencer Aleksandra Vasilevna Mendoza, dismissing the legal action as an attempt to gain attention.
Regarding the recent charges, Peters’s representative hinted at a prior civil complaint where Peters was accused of battery, fraud, and sexual misconduct stemming from events in 2025. The civil case filed in Miami by Mendoza alleged that Peters injected her face with Aqualyx without consent when she was a minor, and engaged in non-consensual sexual activity when she was intoxicated.
Despite the legal turmoil, Peters has amassed a significant following online, particularly on TikTok, where he shares content related to “looksmaxxing,” a community focused on enhancing one’s physical appearance through various methods. Peters’ extreme practices, such as using steroids and undergoing facial procedures, have garnered criticism for their potential harm.
This is not the first instance of legal trouble for Peters, as earlier this year, he faced charges for unlawfully discharging a firearm after a video showed him shooting an alligator in the Florida Everglades. Furthermore, Peters was hospitalized for a suspected overdose during a livestream earlier this year, adding to his controversial online persona.
