Singer and actress Selena Gomez is facing a lawsuit from investors alleging fraud due to her alleged failure to fulfill obligations related to the development and promotion of her mental health startup. The investors, who collectively invested around $1.2 million in Wondermind Global, a company launched in 2021 with the aim of enhancing users’ “mental fitness,” filed the lawsuit in federal court in Delaware.
According to the investors, they were led to believe that Gomez, a prominent figure in social media with over 500 million followers, would play an active role in the company’s marketing as its head. However, they claim that both Gomez and other company executives did not follow through on commitments, such as the creation of a mobile application.
The lawsuit alleges that Gomez entered into a contract promising her involvement but failed to honor it. The investors assert that the company did not have a viable business plan and did not meet basic obligations like timely payment to employees and vendors.
A spokesperson for Gomez has not responded to requests for comments on the matter. The investors claim that they were unaware of the company’s issues until a news report surfaced online in September 2025, detailing the challenges. They are now seeking to recover their investments along with legal fees through the lawsuit.
