Laila Rouass, known for her role in “Footballer’s Wives,” recently revealed to her followers that she is grappling with a challenging health condition that has deeply affected her. The 54-year-old actress shared on social media that while the illness is not life-threatening, it has significantly impacted her physical abilities, leading to a sense of humility and vulnerability.

In a heartfelt message, she disclosed, “I have recently received a diagnosis of an incurable condition that has tested me in ways I never anticipated. It’s not a threat to my life, but the loss of control over my body has brought me to a place of humility and vulnerability that I’ve never experienced before.”

The actress explained that her absence from social media in recent weeks was due to her health struggles. She expressed, “There have been moments of tears, not out of weakness, but as a form of release. Sometimes, resilience means simply facing a new day. This is why I’ve been silent. The treatment has taken its toll on me physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Nevertheless, I am here—more tender, yet stronger.”

Further sharing her journey, Laila emphasized, “I feel more human. Life is not about perfection. When you see someone online appearing flawless, remember, it’s the imperfections that allow light to shine through. Your skin, your story, your wounds—all contribute to your beauty.”

While the exact nature of her condition remains undisclosed, Laila, who has been in an on-and-off relationship with snooker champion Ronnie O’Sullivan for over a decade, recently tied the knot with him following a history of breakups and reconciliations.

The couple exchanged vows in a private ceremony in London, with plans to relocate to Dubai. Ronnie shared that their move was driven by practical reasons, including better training facilities and proximity to his sporting engagements in the Middle East and China.

Having already settled into their new lifestyle in Dubai, the couple has embraced the change wholeheartedly, expressing contentment with their decision to leave the UK. This marks Laila’s second marriage, having previously been wed to Abdeslam Rouass before their separation in 2003.

In other news, the popular TV series “Footballer’s Wives” is set for a revival two decades after its initial debut, featuring a new storyline that promises to captivate audiences once again. Original cast members Zoe Lucker, Gary Lucy, and Gillian Taylforth were part of the show that propelled Laila to fame.
