Maura Higgins has officially announced her departure from reality TV, turning down offers from prominent British shows. The 34-year-old, known for her appearances on Love Island and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, revealed that she has completed her television ventures and has no intentions of joining Big Brother or Strictly Come Dancing.
“I have done all the shows I wanted to do. I declined Big Brother, Celebs Go Dating multiple times, and MasterChef,” Maura stated when asked about her future TV aspirations.
Since her time on Love Island in 2019, Maura has ventured into other TV projects, including Dancing On Ice, participating in I’m A Celebrity in Australia, and featuring on Celebrity Traitors US. Despite being offered roles on major UK shows, she has decided to step away from reality television.
Even though she received an offer to join Strictly, Maura admitted that dancing was not within her realm of interests. She remained tight-lipped about her “manifest board” but hinted at upcoming projects. Notably, Maura recently took on her first acting role in the film The Spin, portraying the character Rose, a challenging experience that she enjoyed.
While uncertain about pursuing further acting opportunities, Maura expressed contentment with exploring new avenues beyond reality TV. She emphasized her willingness to embrace challenges, signaling a shift away from familiar small screen territories.
