McDonald’s issued an apology following a customer complaint about finding mold on a chicken burger. The incident occurred at the Rice Lane outlet in Walton when a 16-year-old girl ordered food just after breakfast hours. The girl discovered a green speck of mold on the burger bun, prompting her father to lodge a complaint with McDonald’s.

In response, McDonald’s offered a replacement meal and expressed regret for the oversight. Despite the offer, the girl declined the replacement, expressing her disgust and vowing never to eat at McDonald’s again. The father emphasized the importance of food quality, highlighting the disappointment in the experience.

A McDonald’s spokesperson emphasized their commitment to food safety and quality control, acknowledging the lapse in standards in this instance. The restaurant team apologized to the customer, provided a full refund, and initiated an investigation to address the issue.

Meanwhile, McDonald’s introduced eight new limited-edition menu items from various countries around the world, including burgers, McNuggets, drinks, sides, and desserts. The new menu launched on October 22 and will be available for six weeks.

This incident underscores the significance of maintaining high food safety standards in the fast-food industry.
