The incident unfolded in Carlton, where officers responded to a safety concern call at 10:07 pm, leading to the arrest of a 40-year-old man. Sadly, a woman in her 20s was discovered deceased at the scene.

Multiple cordons remain in place at Westdale Lane East, Westdale Lane West, and Mapperley/Oxclose Lane in Bestwood.
