A technical issue caused a temporary pause in the National Lottery draw, leaving viewers puzzled during the live stream. Allwyn, the operator, announced that Saturday night’s Lotto draw was halted due to the bonus ball not dropping. They assured that the draw would recommence promptly with a new machine and an independent adjudicator present.

The live draw abruptly stopped just before the bonus ball was supposed to be drawn around 8 pm, citing technical difficulties. The winning Lotto numbers for the night were officially declared as 04, 09, 28, 40, 42, 59, with the Bonus Ball being 55, offering an estimated jackpot of £10.5 million.

Additionally, the winning Thunderball numbers for the National Lottery were 09, 11, 13, 28, 34, with the Thunderball number 13.

A prior statement from the National Lottery explained the situation, stating that they paused the draw due to the bonus ball issue and would resume promptly using an alternative draw machine under independent supervision.

Reports from the online fault reporting service Downdetector indicated a surge in problem reports around the time of the 8 pm draw. In the previous Euromillions draw with a £45 million jackpot, there were no jackpot winners. The winning main EuroMillions numbers were 07, 08, 25, 31, 45, with Lucky Star numbers 07, 12. The upcoming Tuesday’s jackpot is estimated to reach £54 million.
