A couple enjoying a thrilling ride at a popular amusement park sprang into action to save a young girl whose seatbelt had come undone, leading to a dramatic rescue captured in a widely shared social media post.

Chris and Cassie Evins, parents of four, were at Worlds of Fun amusement park in Kansas City, Missouri, when they noticed the distressed girl behind them on the Mamba roller coaster. The girl’s seatbelt had malfunctioned, causing panic.

Chris and Cassie quickly reacted by holding onto the girl to prevent her from falling out of her seat during the high-speed ride. The park confirmed that a secondary restraint was in place and immediately conducted a safety review after the incident.

In a statement to the press, the park assured that necessary modifications were made to ensure the ride meets the highest safety standards before reopening to guests. Additionally, they emphasized that the roller coaster features a multi-layered restraint system, with lap bars as the primary safety measure.

Following thorough inspections and adjustments, the ride was deemed safe for operation, with no evidence of further issues reported. The park reiterated its commitment to guest safety and compliance with all safety regulations.
