Karoline Leavitt, the Press Secretary for Donald Trump, dismissed inquiries regarding the US President’s well-being, affirming that the 79-year-old is in excellent physical condition.
During a White House press briefing on Tuesday, just ahead of the upcoming review of Trump’s tariffs on Canada, Mexico, and China by the US Supreme Court, Leavitt addressed questions posed by CNN’s Kristen Holmes about Trump’s recent MRI, stating that the President remains in optimal physical health as confirmed by a prior physical examination earlier this year.
Leavitt, 28, clarified that the MRI was part of a follow-up appointment, and reiterated the detailed physical assessment report. However, Holmes highlighted that an MRI is a specific procedure rather than a routine check-up, prompting further questions on the transparency of information regarding Trump’s health.
Concerns over Trump’s health have escalated recently following various public appearances and notable absences that have sparked speculation about his well-being. Despite visible bruises and swollen ankles, Trump’s doctor previously reported that his cardiac age is substantially younger than his chronological age.
Last year, Trump underwent a routine yearly check-up at Walter Reed Medical Centre in Bethesda, Maryland, where his physician, Navy Captain Sean Barbabella, affirmed the President’s exceptional health across cardiovascular, pulmonary, neurological, and physical parameters.
