Amid the ongoing controversy surrounding Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein, their daughters Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie are now facing scrutiny.
Recently revealed emails suggest that Epstein financially supported Sarah and that she may have taken her daughters to visit him post his release from prison. Prince Andrew has denied all allegations against him.
At the time of Epstein’s release in 2009, Beatrice and Eugenie would have been in their early twenties. The emails, reportedly sent by Epstein to his lawyer in 2011, imply that Sarah visited Epstein with her daughters after publicly distancing herself from him.
Epstein allegedly urged Sarah to deny previous statements and requested that she clarify her stance. Sarah’s spokesperson denies any recollection of such a visit by Sarah and her daughters.
Reports indicate that Sarah not only accepted money from Epstein but also sought additional funds. The newly surfaced emails reveal requests for significant sums of money and a desire to visit Epstein’s private island.
Following the emergence of past emails where Sarah praised Epstein, several charities cut ties with her. Sarah’s team attributed her positive statements to fear caused by a threatening phone call from Epstein, who allegedly vowed to ruin her and her family.
In a recent statement, Prince Andrew announced his decision to relinquish his royal titles and honours to prevent further distractions from the royal family’s work. Consequently, Sarah is no longer the Duchess of York, a title she held for nearly four decades.
