Prince Harry’s recent harsh remarks about his uncle, now known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, are resurfacing as Prince Andrew faces renewed controversy. Initially, there was genuine enthusiasm surrounding Meghan Markle’s entry into the Royal Family after marrying Harry, with the couple forming part of the ‘Fab Four’ alongside Prince William and Princess Kate. However, behind the scenes, the reality was less idyllic as Harry and Meghan grappled with personal struggles, including Meghan’s mental health challenges.

Their relations with other senior royals deteriorated, leading to their decision to step back from full-time royal duties, which caused a significant stir. Unlike the treatment Harry and Meghan received, Prince Andrew, despite being embroiled in multiple controversies, retained his royal privileges, including police protection.

In his memoir, Harry revealed feeling shocked when their security was withdrawn in 2020 while they were in Canada with their son, Prince Archie. Tyler Perry came to their aid by offering his private security team and residence. Harry cited the treatment of his uncle, Andrew, as a factor in his reassurance to Meghan about their security.

Prince Andrew faced intense scrutiny due to his ties to Jeffrey Epstein and allegations of sexual assault. Despite the controversies, Andrew retained his police protection until 2022, with the late Queen covering his security costs. However, this support ended in 2024 when funding was reportedly stopped to encourage Andrew to leave Royal Lodge.

Recently, it was confirmed that Andrew will vacate Royal Lodge, a significant Crown Estate property, following his association with Epstein. Prince Charles is taking legal steps to formally strip Andrew of his royal titles, despite Andrew already relinquishing them voluntarily, now being known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.
