Kaye Adams, a well-known radio host, is reportedly off the air from her BBC radio show due to an internal complaint. The 62-year-old has been asked to take a break from her show, Mornings With Kaye Adams, while the BBC investigates the complaint. Adams has been hosting the three-hour phone-in show on BBC Radio Scotland since 2010, earning £155,000 for her work. However, she has not been on the air since October 6.
BBC Scotland has not commented on the specific allegation but clarified that Adams has not permanently left the organization. The BBC emphasized its robust internal processes for handling such concerns without disclosing details about individual cases. The Mirror reached out to Kaye Adams’ representatives for further information.
The complaint against Adams is believed to have been raised under the BBC’s Call It Out initiative, aimed at addressing workplace misconduct. Adams, a longstanding presenter on ITV’s Loose Women, also works as a freelance presenter for the BBC, in addition to her show on BBC Radio Scotland.
Connie McLaughlin has taken over Adams’ radio slot while investigations are ongoing. Recently, Adams shared details about a health scare she experienced after a Pilates class, where she feared she was having a stroke due to sudden dizziness and balance issues. She later discovered it was vertigo caused by dislodged crystals in her ear.
