Millions of Sky Mobile subscribers are set to experience an increase in their monthly bills starting next month following the announcement of a new price hike. The majority of customers will face a £1.50 per month increment, amounting to an annual escalation of £18. However, individual bill adjustments may vary.

The revised charges will be effective from February 14, 2026, marking the first time Sky Mobile has altered prices for customers under contract in over seven years. Customers dissatisfied with the price adjustment and still within the minimum contract term can opt to cancel their package without incurring any early termination fees.

Notably, the price of the Sky Mobile social tariff, catering to low-income individuals, will remain unchanged. Sky attributed the price adjustment to heightened wholesale network expenses and assured that affected customers would receive notifications starting immediately.

A spokesperson from Sky Mobile emphasized the necessity of the £1.50 monthly increase to maintain service quality and customer value, citing industry-wide cost pressures. The decision to raise prices mid-contract has been avoided for more than seven years, reflecting a commitment to investing in network infrastructure and enhancing customer experience.

In a similar vein, O2 has disclosed plans to raise monthly bills by £2.50 for almost all mobile and SIM-only contract customers from April 2026, exceeding the initially proposed increment of £1.80. Three mobile customers subscribing to data plans of 4GB or less will experience a £1.80 monthly price hike from the same period, representing an 80p increase from the current £1 rise.

Customers with data plans ranging between 4GB and 100GB will witness a £1.90 monthly increase, while those with over 100GB will face a £2.30 uptick. Three broadband subscribers are also poised for a £3.50 monthly bill rise starting April 2026.

Vodafone customers securing deals from November 12 onwards will see their monthly bills escalate by £2.50, or £1.50 for Basics SIM plans. Additionally, Vodafone broadband users can anticipate a £3.50 monthly price surge. Existing Vodafone and Three broadband or mobile contract holders will experience price adjustments according to their initially agreed terms.
