Tess Daly has addressed the rumors surrounding her potential involvement with the BBC show “Celebrity Traitors,” alongside her husband Vernon Kay. Speculation arose last year, fueled by reports suggesting discussions with Claudia Winkleman, their colleague on “Strictly Come Dancing.”

During an appearance on “Good Morning Britain,” Vernon jokingly hinted at the ongoing speculation about their participation in the show. When asked who would make a better traitor between them, Vernon humorously pointed out Tess’s tendency to laugh while telling lies, contrasting his own lack of subtlety.

In an interview with The Metro, Tess clarified that Claudia had not approached them about joining the program, downplaying the alleged recruitment attempt. She mentioned their strong friendship, forged over a decade of collaboration on “Strictly Come Dancing,” praising Claudia’s ability to make her laugh wholeheartedly.

Although Tess and Vernon are not part of the initial lineup for the celebrity edition, future opportunities may arise. Reports suggest a potential second season is in the works, building on the show’s popularity and exceptional cast.

In this unique game of deceit and trust, celebrities stand to win up to £100,000 for a charity of their choice. Notable figures still vying for the prize include Jonathan Ross, Kate Garraway, Celia Imrie, Alan Carr, David Olusoga, and Cat Burns.

As the competition intensifies, the suspense grows as each week a celebrity faces elimination. Viewers can catch the latest episode of “Celebrity Traitors” tonight at 9 pm on BBC One.
