Spiderman star Tom Holland is no longer in consideration to portray the next James Bond due to his existing commitments with Marvel. Sources revealed that due to contractual obligations with Marvel, Tom cannot take on a role that would overshadow his current portrayal of Spiderman in the Marvel Universe.

Several prominent actors, such as Idris Elba, Tom Hardy, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Harris Dickinson, and Jacob Elordi, have been speculated to potentially step into the iconic role. However, Anthony Boyle, known for his role in House of Guinness, has emerged as a strong contender for the part.

Although the official decision on the next 007 is pending, Tom, aged 29, has reportedly inked a deal with Marvel that prohibits him from assuming the James Bond role. A source emphasized that Tom cannot juggle two superhero characters simultaneously.

According to insiders, the upcoming Bond movie will embrace the era of artificial intelligence, promising an innovative and contemporary storyline. The film is expected to be bold and refreshing, following a prolonged hiatus.

The Mirror has reached out to representatives of Tom Holland for a statement regarding the situation. Fans are eagerly awaiting the confirmation of who will embody the legendary character of James Bond in the next franchise installment, with Anthony Boyle recently entering the mix as a potential candidate.

Bookmakers at Ladbrokes have placed Anthony Boyle at 10/1 odds after his standout performance in the Netflix series House of Guinness garnered critical acclaim. The speculation surrounding the next James Bond has persisted for four years since Daniel Craig’s departure.

The 26th film in the James Bond series is slated to commence production in April at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire. Steven Knight, the creator of Peaky Blinders, is responsible for the screenplay, while Denis Villeneuve is reportedly set to lead the hunt for the next James Bond.

Originally introduced in Ian Fleming’s spy novels in 1953, the character of James Bond gained worldwide fame when adapted for the silver screen in the 1960s. Over the years, numerous Hollywood stars, including Sean Connery, Roger Moore, and Pierce Brosnan, have portrayed the sophisticated secret agent.
