American legislators are urging Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor to appear in the United States for questioning regarding his connections to Jeffrey Epstein, a disgraced financier. In response to the controversy, King Charles has received accolades from US officials for stripping Andrew of his royal title. A recent vote in the US to release the Epstein files by a significant margin has prompted officials to commend the UK’s swift actions.

Republican Rep Thomas Massie emphasized the need for accountability, citing the consequences faced in Britain, including the removal of titles and positions. Despite ongoing denials of any misconduct by Andrew, the UK government has stated that there is no immediate need for legislative action to strip his titles, although his name has been removed from plaques in the Falkland Islands.

The US is considering a similar stance regarding honoring individuals linked to reprehensible acts, with a call for accountability and justice. Democratic Rep Ro Khanna has suggested the possibility of summoning Andrew to testify before the US Congress, echoing the urgency seen in the UK’s pursuit of justice.

King Charles recently completed the removal of all royal titles from the Mountbatten-Windsor lineage, marking the end of a turbulent chapter for the royal family. Following his withdrawal from public duties in 2019 after a controversial BBC interview about his association with Epstein, Andrew has been officially stripped of his remaining royal privileges and titles.
