Fitbit, known for its long history in promoting physical activity, has introduced a new product named the Fitbit Air. Unlike previous models, the Fitbit Air is screenless and resembles popular bands like Whoop, designed for easy wear on the wrist. While it lacks features such as message reading and heart rate monitoring, it offers unique advantages.

The Fitbit Air boasts a comfortable bracelet-style design, as confirmed by a recent study by Google, outperforming its competitors in comfort. Additionally, it promises a week-long battery life and quick charging that can provide a day’s power in just five minutes. The device comes with a magnetic charger featuring bi-directional technology for hassle-free recharging.

Despite its simple appearance, the Fitbit Air remains true to its core functionality. It tracks sleep patterns, daily activities, exercise routines, heart rate, and can even detect conditions like AFib, alerting users to irregular heart rhythms. Equipped with various sensors including an optical heart rate monitor, accelerometer, gyroscope, oxygen saturation sensors, and a temperature sensor, the Fitbit Air provides comprehensive health monitoring.

Since it lacks a screen, all collected data is directly transmitted to smartphones, where the Google Health Coach can offer a holistic view of the user’s health status. The device is water-resistant up to 50 meters and will be available in four color options: Obsidian, Fog, Berry, and Lavender. The Fitbit Air will be priced at £84.99 when it hits the market.
