A prominent online beauty retailer is considering a potential sale as advisors have been engaged to assess the company’s operations. Founded in 1999 by Arron and David Gabbie in Manchester, Beauty Bay offers a wide range of products from over 200 brands, including Ariana Grande, Clinique, MAC, and its own line of items.
According to a recent report from Sky News, Beauty Bay is exploring various options for securing new funding, which may involve selling the business outright. Interpath, an advisory firm, is reportedly collaborating with Beauty Bay on this initiative.
Currently employing 65 individuals, Beauty Bay has been contacted for comment by the Mirror. This development follows the recent news of beauty brand Malin + Goetz entering administration, resulting in the closure of its seven stores in London and affecting over 70 jobs. Online orders for Malin + Goetz have been temporarily halted, with the company reassuring customers of a swift return to normal operations.
Malin + Goetz, established in New York in 2004 by Matthew Malin and Andrew Goetz, initially focused on a small product range catering to all skin types. Over the years, the brand has expanded its offerings to include fragrances, body care products, and other beauty essentials.
