King Charles may be attempting to appease Sarah Ferguson by considering her recent requests, as there are concerns that she may act independently if she is removed from the royal family, as per a royal expert’s analysis.
Prince Andrew and his former spouse have reportedly presented demands for separate royal residences, as discussions with the King’s aides are underway to have them vacate Royal Lodge, where they have resided together since 2008 despite their divorce in 1996.
There were suggestions that Andrew might move into Frogmore Cottage, previously occupied by Harry and Meghan, while Fergie has expressed interest in Adelaide Cottage, soon to be available as William and Kate move out.
The prospect of Andrew and Fergie relocating to other royal residences within the Windsor estate has sparked debates, with observers questioning why Fergie, who relinquished her Duchess of York title and has not been an active royal for nearly two decades, should be entitled to a royal home.
Although the King is not legally obligated to Sarah, royal expert Rebecca English suggested that it would be wise for Charles to maintain a level of contentment with Fergie to prevent her from contemplating writing a revealing book about the royal family.
A source revealed, “The King is understanding but his patience has its limits. Yet, he also wants to avoid another scandal like the one caused by his son, Prince Harry’s, memoir ‘Spare’ in 2023.”
