Jake Paul has announced a heartfelt tribute to be honored for the late associates of Anthony Joshua during the Amanda Serrano vs. Danila Tellez event tonight. The promoter of the former YouTuber turned boxer, Most Valuable Promotions, has placed the names of Latif Ayodele and Sina Ghami at the center of the ring canvas in a moving homage to Joshua’s friends who tragically lost their lives in a car accident in Nigeria earlier this week. Joshua, who sustained minor injuries, survived the accident that claimed the lives of his friends while traveling in Nigeria following his controversial fight against Paul.

Paul and MVP CEO Nakisa Bidarian have made sure to highlight the names of Ayodele and Ghami in anticipation of the significant card scheduled for Saturday night in Puerto Rico. Following a social media post confirming Paul’s tribute and promotion, the 28-year-old responded with a simple comment, expressing his condolences and prayers for the lives lost in the unfortunate accident.

Joshua, who has been discharged from the hospital and flown back to the United Kingdom, is preparing to attend his friends’ funeral. It is reported that Joshua is undecided on attending the funeral due to concerns that his presence may overshadow the solemnity of the event. He narrowly escaped the fatal accident by changing seats just before the journey that led to the tragic loss of his friends. The driver of the car, Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and is currently maintaining his innocence.

Kayode’s case is set for trial on January 20. The circumstances surrounding the accident have raised questions, with reports indicating that Joshua switched seats with another passenger before the fatal collision occurred. The upcoming funeral service is expected to be a solemn occasion, inviting family and friends to pay their respects to the departed souls.
