Sky Sports F1 host and analyst Naomi Schiff has shared the news of welcoming her first child. Through a series of heartwarming photos posted on Instagram, the 31-year-old racing driver and TV personality introduced her newborn son to the world.
Schiff, a member of Sky’s rotating team of Formula 1 pundits, took a break from her broadcasting duties after the Dutch Grand Prix in August. She disclosed her pregnancy with husband Alexandre Dedieu in May, following their marriage in September of the previous year.
In a touching social media post, Schiff announced the birth of her son, Raphaël Schiff-Dedieu, born on October 8th, 2025. Expressing her profound joy, she shared her excitement about embracing the role of motherhood and the immense love she feels for her child.
Colleagues and well-known figures inundated Schiff with congratulatory messages on the arrival of her baby. Former F1 champion Jenson Button extended his best wishes, while TV presenter Laura Winter expressed her happiness for the new family.
Among the many messages, fellow Sky F1 expert Natalie Pinkham, Max Verstappen’s sister Victoria Verstappen, and Aston Martin car designer Adrian Newey’s wife, Amanda Newey, also joined in celebrating the joyous occasion with words of congratulations and support.
Since joining Sky Sports F1’s broadcasting team in 2022, Schiff has become a familiar face to viewers. Her motorsport journey began at the age of 16 in South Africa, where she started racing single-seater cars. Notably, Schiff participated in the inaugural season of the W Series in 2019, alongside standout racer Jamie Chadwick, before transitioning to a career in broadcasting.
As Schiff takes time off to embrace her new role as a mother, the duration of her absence from her punditry position remains uncertain. Alongside Schiff, fellow pundit Natalie Pinkham is also currently on leave following neck surgery.
