Tyson Fury has unveiled his list of preferred opponents as he gears up for his boxing comeback this year, with a highly anticipated clash against Anthony Joshua in the spotlight.

The ‘Gypsy King’ had initially announced his retirement from the sport after suffering consecutive defeats to Oleksandr Usyk, but has since made a surprising reversal. Recent months have seen Fury intensifying his training regimen, currently honing his skills in Thailand in preparation for upcoming fights.

Aged 37, Fury has been training alongside WBC bridgerweight champion Kevin Lerena, not shying away from naming potential rivals. Following his loss to Usyk in December 2024, Fury has persistently expressed interest in a third bout with his long-standing adversary.

In addition to Usyk, the former two-time heavyweight champion is eyeing matches with compatriots Joshua and Fabio Wardley. A recent post on Fury’s Instagram account showcased him facing off with the three heavyweight contenders.

The possibility of a trilogy fight with Usyk appears uncertain, with Usyk’s advisor indicating a lack of interest in reigniting their rivalry. Fans have been eagerly awaiting a showdown between Fury and Joshua, though uncertainties loom over Joshua’s future following a tragic car accident in Nigeria that claimed the lives of two close associates.

Fury’s promoter, Frank Warren, has hinted that a potential Fury-Joshua showdown may not materialize until late 2026, if at all, given the recent events affecting Joshua. Warren acknowledged the emotional toll the tragedy might have on Joshua, emphasizing the uncertainty surrounding both fighters’ boxing futures in light of the circumstances.
