Some Sky customers are facing an annoying bug impacting the frequently used ITVX app. The issue seems to have emerged recently, with users reporting disruptions in their viewing experience as the app randomly jumps to the end of programs. This glitch is causing frustration as viewers find themselves abruptly at the credits without any manual input using the remote control.

On Sky’s forum page, a user named Dazzasky shared their experience, stating, “ITV Player randomly skips ahead, usually right to the end of the episode and is making it quite difficult tbh, this has been happening for the last 4 or 5 days.” Another user, Dawn, also reported similar issues, mentioning, “Is anyone else having issues watching programs on ITVX for the last 3 days? I’m watching then jumped to the end randomly and then showing as watched. It usually happens at the beginning of the program or straight after an ad break.”

The technical hiccups seem to affect users with Sky’s online devices, including Sky Stream boxes and Glass TVs. While it’s uncertain if Sky Q is also impacted, most complaints are from users with broadband-powered devices rather than satellite dishes.

The cause of the problems remains unknown, but a Sky representative named Kev has acknowledged the issues and assured users that the company is actively working on a solution. Kev mentioned in a forum post, “Thank you for making us aware of this problem and thanks for tagging us. We can understand how frustrating this must be and have escalated the problem to our support teams. They will collaborate with ITV to resolve the issue. As soon as I have more information, I’ll update everyone.”

For now, users may have to endure the skipping issues until a fix is implemented. Mirror Online will provide updates on this matter as new developments unfold.
