A 12-year-old girl was seen on CCTV arriving home from school, only to tragically end up dead in a trunk near her parents’ workplace. Shockingly, it has emerged that she was allegedly raped, tortured, and murdered by Dahbia Benkired, a woman from Algeria who was residing in the same apartment complex with her sister despite facing deportation from France.

During the court proceedings this week, distressing details unfolded, revealing the heinous acts the young girl reportedly endured before her death. Lola Daviet was purportedly subjected to rape, attacked with scissors and a box cutter, and had her head partially severed by the 24-year-old Benkired. Additionally, Lola’s head, nose, and mouth were bound with tape, leading to her death from suffocation. Allegedly, the motive behind the attack was retaliation for the victim’s mother refusing to provide Benkired with access to the apartment building.

Evidence presented in court included CCTV footage showing Benkired opening a suitcase containing the girl’s body at a busy Paris bar shortly after the murder. Furthermore, the victim displayed 38 wounds on her back and neck, with a doctor testifying that she died from asphyxia, causing considerable physical and emotional distress.

Family members had to leave the courtroom as graphic images of Lola’s injuries were displayed, including visible trauma to her genitals. Benkired is accused of making the child perform a sex act on her, inflicting severe injuries such as a large wound on her face and a slashed back. After the alleged murder, Benkired reportedly transported the victim’s body across Paris in a plastic trunk, eventually abandoning it on the street where it was discovered by a passerby.

Benkired, now 27, admitted to the crimes and expressed remorse during the trial, acknowledging the horrific nature of her actions. Her history in France, marked by an expulsion order in 2022, was also highlighted, with police discovering incriminating items in her residence linked to the crime scene.

In a poignant moment, Lola’s mother appeared in court demanding justice for her daughter, while the family wore matching t-shirts bearing a tribute to the young girl. Benkired recounted a troubled past of abuse and mental health struggles, citing her parents’ deaths as a breaking point that led to excessive drug use. Despite her admission of guilt, the court is tasked with establishing motive and circumstances as the trial progresses, with the defendant facing the possibility of a life sentence as per French law.
