Westlife’s Shane Filan experienced a memorable moment on live television when he struggled to recall the lyrics to a song. The 46-year-old singer, known for his time in the Irish boyband alongside Kian Egan, Nicky Byrne, Brian McFadden, and Mark Feehily, who is currently on hiatus due to health reasons, made a comeback with their latest single, “Chariot.”

The new track is set to be featured in their upcoming greatest hits album, “25,” along with their classic hits like “You Raise Me Up” and “Uptown Girl.” Despite Mark’s absence from the lineup, Shane had to step in for him during a performance on The Late Late Show in Ireland, where he struggled to remember the correct lyrics.

Making light of the situation, Shane improvised some of the lyrics, only to be playfully called out by host Patrick Kielty at the end of the performance. Shane humorously attributed the mistake to his missing bandmate, stating, “I actually made up a line tonight. I’m going to blame Mark on it cuz it’s Mark’s verse.”

In a touching moment, Patrick presented the band with a Late Late Show award, acknowledging their contributions to the music industry and representing Ireland worldwide. Westlife, now performing as a trio, announced their 25th-anniversary celebrations with plans for new music, special shows, and surprises for their loyal fans.

Unfortunately, Mark Feehily will not be part of the anniversary festivities due to health concerns. The band expressed hope for his return to the stage when he is fully recovered, emphasizing the bond they share with their fans and their excitement for the upcoming celebrations.
