Canada’s head coach, Cindy Tye, has unveiled the lineup for the upcoming under-20 Women’s World Cup set to take place in Poland next month.
The team roster consists of 21 players, featuring three goalkeepers, five defenders, eight midfielders, and five forwards, all gearing up for the tournament scheduled from September 5 to 27.
In addition to the core team, six alternate players will accompany the squad to Poland to assist in preparations before the commencement of the World Cup.
The players, coaching staff, and support personnel will convene in Lublin, Poland, on August 23, before relocating to their tournament headquarters in Bielsko-Biala on August 30. Here, the team is slated to engage in a closed-door match against Spain on August 31.
Canada, among the 24 participating nations, belongs to Group B and will kick off its campaign against England on September 5, followed by a clash with Brazil on September 8. The group stage will culminate on September 11 with a match against Tanzania.
The Canadian team secured its spot in the U-20 World Cup through their victory at the 2025 CONCACAF Women’s U-20 Championship, marking the country’s third regional title triumph.

“Securing the CONCACAF title was a significant accomplishment for this squad, boosting our confidence. However, we are well aware of the heightened competition awaiting us at the World Cup,” stated Tye in a released statement.
“We anticipate facing some of the world’s top teams and urge our players to embrace the challenge, compete with confidence, and seize this opportunity to proudly represent Canada on the global stage,” she added.
