Fashion retailer Quiz has gone into administration, resulting in the loss of 109 jobs. The redundancies are affecting the company’s head office in Glasgow and its warehouse in Lanarkshire. The Quiz website is now offline, and customers are being informed that any online orders not yet dispatched will be canceled.

Quiz is not providing refunds directly; instead, customers are advised to contact their bank or credit card company for reimbursement. Those who made purchases exceeding £100 on a credit card may be eligible for a refund under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act. For debit card payments or credit card transactions under £100, customers may seek refunds through Chargeback within 120 days of purchase.

Customers can choose to exchange unwanted items in-store for products of equal value. The company has closed its online store, redirecting customers to physical locations for exchanges. Quiz stores are open, offering clearance sales across all branches, but they are no longer accepting gift cards.

Quiz, founded in 1993 in Glasgow, Scotland, by Tarak Ramzan, has a total of 40 stores in the UK and concessions within New Look and Matalan stores. The company also operates seven concessions in the Republic of Ireland, which are part of the administration. This marks the second time Quiz has entered administration, with the first instance occurring in February 2025 before being acquired in a pre-pack deal.

Alistair McAlinden and Geoff Jacobs of Interpath have been appointed as joint administrators. McAlinden stated that Quiz’s administration reflects the challenging conditions faced by UK retailers in 2026. The administrators aim to continue trading stores and concessions in Ireland while exploring options for the business. Interested parties in acquiring Quiz’s stock and operations are urged to contact the administrators promptly.

Efforts are being made to support affected employees during this difficult period. The company is focused on maintaining operations and providing necessary assistance to impacted staff members.
