Jeremy Clarkson recently took a subtle jab at James Corden while promoting his latest book, The Farmer’s Dog. The 65-year-old former Top Gear host has been in the spotlight for transitioning into farming at Diddly Squat and captivating audiences worldwide with his Amazon Prime series.

In a move to stir up some drama, Clarkson shared a video on Instagram to introduce the fifth installment of his book series, Diddly Squat: The Farmer’s Dog. In the video, he read an excerpt from his book, giving fans a glimpse into his farming experience.

During the reading, Clarkson humorously mentioned using a normal deer with antlers taped to its head as a substitute for a reindeer. He playfully compared his book to James Corden and Ruth Jones’ book, asserting that his work was superior.

James Corden and Ruth Jones rose to fame with the BBC comedy Gavin & Stacey in 2007, which continued for three series and included two highly anticipated Christmas specials in 2019 and 2024, the latter attracting over 20 million viewers.

Aside from Corden, Clarkson has also engaged in verbal sparring with Piers Morgan. Their feud turned physical in 2004 at the Press Awards, resulting in a scuffle that left Piers with a scar and Clarkson with a broken finger. Eventually, the two reconciled and agreed to put their differences aside.

The tension between Clarkson and Morgan continued for years until Clarkson extended an olive branch, leading to a meeting at a pub where they decided to maintain a civil relationship. Despite not becoming best friends, they agreed to avoid physical altercations moving forward.
