Kristen Bell has shared her struggles with getting out of bed during her battle with depression, describing it as a challenging experience. The 45-year-old actress, who first spoke about her mental health issues in 2016, has dealt with anxiety and depression in the past. Reflecting on her decision to speak openly about her struggles, Kristen mentioned how liberating it was to be honest about her inner struggles, receiving overwhelming support from people.

In a recent interview with Red Magazine, Kristen admitted that pulling herself out of depression can be a difficult task. She previously opened up in 2016 about the debilitating nature of her mental health battles, highlighting that depression goes beyond just feeling sad but can completely disrupt one’s life.

Despite her struggles, Kristen, who is married to Dax Shepherd, is now vocal about her mental health journey and aims to help others facing similar challenges. In her work life, she finds support from her co-star Adam Brody, with whom she shares a strong bond since working together on a Netflix show.

The Netflix series, which has returned for a second season, wasn’t an easy sell to Adam, according to Kristen. She expressed surprise that Adam agreed to take on the role, praising his versatile acting skills and charm. Kristen commended Adam for his ability to portray various characters effectively, noting his appeal to audiences.

The December issue of Red Magazine featuring Kristen’s interview will be available from October 23. For those struggling with mental health issues and in need of support, Samaritans offer a free helpline that operates 24/7.
