A horrifying incident unfolded as a 12-year-old girl named Lola Daviet was subjected to a brutal attack that resulted in her tragic death. The harrowing event took place in Paris, where Lola’s lifeless body was discovered inside a suitcase. Following a swift police investigation, Dahbia Benkired, a 24-year-old woman, was apprehended and subsequently became the first female in French history to receive a life sentence without the possibility of parole for her role in the appalling crimes.

Details revealed in court shed light on the chilling final moments of Lola’s life. The young girl, who enjoyed family camping trips, encountered Benkired, a homeless Algerian immigrant, outside her residence. Surveillance footage captured Benkired illicitly entering the building and lingering in the hallways despite lacking access. Lola was seen on camera observing the stranger and seemingly trailing her down a corridor, marking the last recorded images of her alive. In her court statement, Benkired confessed to luring Lola, restraining her with tape, and ultimately taking her life.

The sequence of events continued with Lola being subjected to sexual assault and then tightly bound with tape sourced from Benkired’s sister’s residence. Helpless and suffocating, Lola was left unattended in the entrance area by Benkired, who returned after a brief absence. Benkired acknowledged creating noise to drown out any sounds of struggle from the victim during this traumatic period. Subsequently, Lola endured physical violence, including stabbing with a knife and scissors, before her body was concealed in a large plastic suitcase.

Following a hasty exit from her sister’s home, Benkired was captured on surveillance footage outside the property with suitcases used to prop open the door. She later emerged dragging the suitcase containing Lola’s body towards the exit. During the trial proceedings in Paris, Benkired was vilified by Lola’s family as a “monster devil” and was sentenced to life imprisonment for her monstrous acts.

Notably, Benkired’s life sentence aligns her with other individuals serving similar penalties, such as Salah Abdeslam, a notorious Belgian terrorist involved in the heinous ISIS attacks that claimed numerous lives in Paris in 2015.
