Despite suffering only minor injuries, Joshua narrowly escaped a fatal outcome by changing seats before the accident. This week, the former two-time heavyweight champion was seen back in action at the gym in Dubai.
Hearn, Joshua’s long-time promoter at Matchroom Boxing, met with Joshua and shared a post on Instagram, praising Joshua’s resilience and strength in dealing with the loss of his friends.
Following the accident, Joshua’s future in boxing has been uncertain. Hearn mentioned that Joshua will take a significant break from the sport, allowing him time to recover and make decisions at his own pace.
Joshua has not yet addressed the speculation surrounding his boxing career. However, he recently paid tribute to Ayodele and Ghami on social media, expressing his gratitude for the love and support shown during this difficult time.
Legal proceedings against Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, the driver involved in the accident, will resume soon, with charges including causing death by dangerous driving and other related offenses.
