Donald Trump made a controversial joke about Pearl Harbor in the presence of Japan’s Prime Minister. The incident left the room momentarily stunned, showcasing Trump’s ability to still surprise people with his remarks.

During the meeting with Japanese PM Sanae Takaichi at the White House, Trump referenced previous interactions, including his support for her recent electoral victory. Despite tensions over potential military involvement in the Strait of Hormuz, the meeting proceeded relatively smoothly.

However, the atmosphere shifted when Trump joked about Pearl Harbor, a sensitive topic for Japan. The comment drew a mixed reaction, with some nervous laughter quickly fading as Trump continued with his remarks on surprise tactics in military operations.

In a separate incident, Trump faced scrutiny over conflicting statements regarding military actions in Iran. His administration sought additional funding for military efforts, citing the volatile global situation as justification, despite controversies surrounding the decision-making process.

Elsewhere, the FBI came under fire for allegedly firing two agents involved in investigating Trump’s election challenges. The lawsuit filed by the agents claims unjust termination and seeks legal redress for what they perceive as politically motivated dismissals.

Trump’s administration continued to face questions regarding military strategies and decision-making processes, as well as ongoing controversies surrounding personnel changes within federal agencies.
