At least three individuals were swiftly taken to the hospital following a shooting incident at a shopping center amidst Black Friday sales, causing shoppers to seek shelter.

A manhunt is currently in progress for the shooter who carried out the attack at the Westfield Valley Fair Mall in San Jose, California. Police have confirmed that multiple individuals are receiving treatment for gunshot injuries.

The victims of the attack include a man, a woman, and a 16-year-old girl, with the incident occurring at 5:40 pm local time the previous day, according to Sergeant Jorge Garibay of the San Jose Police Department.

Authorities have classified the incident as an “isolated occurrence,” emphasizing that there is no ongoing threat to the general public.

Initial reports suggest that the shooting transpired following a dispute between the suspected gunman and the male victim, inadvertently involving the two female victims, as reported by KRON4.

Eyewitness Shawn Kulasingham, 23, recounted hearing a loud noise followed by a chaotic scene of people. He described it as a stampede, with the building seemingly trembling.

Kulasingham mentioned seeking refuge with his sister and father in the nearest secure store, an Abercrombie & Fitch, where they concealed themselves behind clothing racks and cabinets amidst the commotion.

During the chaos, around 20 customers were directed into storage areas at Bloomingdales by store security, including Bilal Zuberi and his spouse, who shared their experience online. Although they did not hear gunshots, there was evident panic, with an announcement instructing everyone to stay put as the doors were secured.
