Kelly Osbourne was visibly emotional as she honored her late father, Ozzy, while accepting an award on his behalf. Ozzy, the renowned Black Sabbath frontman, passed away at the age of 76 following a heart attack.

Daughter of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, Kelly took the stage to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award on behalf of her father at The Birmingham Awards held in The Eastside Rooms.

During her acceptance speech, Kelly shared her father’s deep affection for the city, stating, “This recognition tonight surpasses all others. He cherished having a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, but his star on the Walk of Stars on Broad Street held the most significance for him.”

She further expressed, “Despite spending much of his life in America due to work commitments, Birmingham always remained his true home. He held a special love for this city and its people, reciprocated by their affection towards him. That’s why it was essential for him to return home one last time in July to bid farewell.”

Ozzy’s final performance was a charity event named Back To The Beginning at Villa Park in Birmingham on July 5. Shortly after, he passed away, drawing thousands to his funeral to pay their respects.

Kelly became emotional as she recounted the overwhelming support they received, saying, “The countless individuals who lined the streets, halting the city, the outpouring of love from all of you, my family and I were profoundly touched by it.”

Continuing, she reflected on Ozzy’s dedication to Birmingham, stating, “Throughout his illustrious career spanning over five decades, his most significant show was in Aston. Despite health challenges in his later years, he was adamant that his final performance should be here. He was a proud Brummy from the start to the end.”

In conclusion, Kelly expressed gratitude on behalf of her family for the esteemed Lifetime Achievement Award, adding, “I believe he is watching us tonight, filled with pride.”

Ozzy had a total of six children, three from his first marriage to Thelma Riley and three with Sharon, including Kelly, Jack, and Aimee.

Jack Osbourne recently provided an update on the family’s well-being following Ozzy’s passing. In an interview with Good Morning America, he mentioned that Sharon was struggling but felt the love and support from fans.

He remarked on the unexpected wave of affection, acknowledging the inevitability of a parent’s absence but highlighting the profound impact of their loss on the family.
