A mother expressed deep distress after encountering what she believed to be her son’s body on display at a museum exhibit. Kim Erick, 54, was visiting the Real Bodies exhibition in Las Vegas when she came across a body that she was convinced belonged to her son, Chris. She described seeing his body as “skinned” and “butchered,” causing her significant emotional turmoil.
Despite Kim’s claims, both the museum and the police have refuted the connection to her son. Law enforcement conducted a thorough investigation into Chris’s death and asserted that there was no foul play involved. However, Kim remains steadfast in her belief that there is a sinister aspect to her son’s passing and his alleged presence at the exhibition.
Kim, who shared a close bond with her son, experienced immense pain upon encountering what she believed to be Chris’s body. She is now urging for DNA tests to be performed on the body to confirm its identity. Chris had passed away in 2012 at his grandmother’s residence, with the police concluding that his death was peaceful and likely due to natural causes.
Despite receiving a necklace containing Chris’s ashes, Kim harbored doubts and requested a reinvestigation into his death. She pointed out disturbing details in photos of her son, insisting that there were marks suggestive of foul play. Although a murder inquiry in 2014 found no evidence supporting homicide, Kim remains convinced that her son was killed and has been advocating for justice.
Regarding the museum exhibit, Imagine Exhibitions, Inc., the owner of Real Bodies, issued a statement denying any association between the displayed body and the individual named in the claims. They emphasized that all specimens are ethically sourced and biologically unidentifiable, maintaining their commitment to upholding ethical and legal standards in their exhibits.
